Verdon ‘Don’ Bence, a daggafarian from Oudtshoorn, may well be the record holder for the world’s largest dagga bud.

Back in January 2019, enOrmus Bud and Stark Ayres launched a competition to see who in South Africa could grow the largest cannabis plant.

Bence was crowned South Africa’s first official “budmaster” in this competition. His 158-gram bud, harvested from his garden, is also a thing of ginormous beauty.

Trevor Rossouw, from East London, won the category for tallest dagga tree. Rossouw credits horse poop as the driving factor behind his 3.8-meter tall marijuana plant.
